i have a 92 mustang and just changed everything but the block,, gt 40 heads, mass air flow meter, throttle body, upper and lower intake, 24 # injectors, F cam,
I guess I have a 2 part question,, should I get a tune from a speed shop ?
does anyone have the tuner chips you can buy and just " plug and play " Are they any good ?
thanx

Take it to a local speed shop and get it on dyno to accurately dial in the air/fuel ratio for your new combo. Plug and play tuner chips are a waste of money IMO.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Honestly if you have the matching meter for the 24s your ecu should easily handle those mods. I see no reason you would need a dyno session or a tune.

don't see anything in there that warrants a custom tune. The factory computer does a pretty good job adapting. Be sure to set your base idle and timing with fresh plugs etc and she should be good to go

As the others said, it will run fine, and perform well. But a dyno tune can help maximize what you have, tell you were to shift, and point out anything causing problems less noticeable by the butt dyno.
