Do i really need the metal oil pan gasket?

okay, so I'm buying all these parts to finish the 351c build and I was wondering if I needed to use that metal oil pan gasket?
I'm using an aftermarket intake and didn't know if I need it or just regular ones. thanks

no you dont need it if you dont mind burning a lot of oil and have the remnants cake up on the underside of the intake and cause driveability problems. otherwise yes you do need it.
