Ask your neighbour why he'd ever want to do that. If he says it's because he's already got an AOD lying around, tell him to sell it and do it right. The 4R70W is light years ahead of the old AOD.

Yes, they also make one to mount a powerglide, but that doesn't mean he should put one in his car unless it's a drag only car.
