My TOB is squeaking.. I've tried engaging the factory quadrant a tooth higher, and although that cures my idle chirp it eventually causes a more rapid chirp while driving. Before I swap out the clutch entirely, I would like to try LDC's freeplay correction kit on my factory setup. The ad says it's intended for aftermarket quads to bring back that 'spring' feel, and a secondary effect is ensuring the TOB is not resting on the clutch fingers.. has anyone tried this thing on the factory setup and cured a TOB chirp? Though the factory quadrant is plastic, I would like to believe it could handle this.
*I'd love to change out the factory crap for a firewall adjuster/quad combo, but I'm worried the dealer will then deny my extended warranty.
