Do you know how frustrating it is...

When your spouse isnt nearly into the Mustang hobby as you are?

Example: Last night I was going through back issues of mustang mags... and I just happened to run across someones car from Stangnet, I get all exicted, and show the wife and tell her "hey, thats a guy i talk to on that mustang forum."

She rolls her eyes, looks at me like "and then...???" and continues watching Greys Anatomy.

Talk about frustrating..

Anywho, It was February 2005 issue (5.0's i think) , and i ran across MansonOzz's vert.. I was all excited and proud to talk to a guy on here thats been featured in so many mustang mags.... leave it to the wife to be a buzzkill

Moral of the story... any of you guys that have spouses / girlfriends / significant others that are into the Mustang hobby, DONT TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED!!!!

My girlfriend just blinks at me when I talk about Mustangs. She tells me I'm stuck up because no other car out there is good enough in my eyes unless it's a V8 Mustang.

I believe the only part she likes, is getting the chance to drive it once and awhile.

I used to make comments about ricers or poorly done mustangs while we were driving... oooh.. the best is when we were at an intersection, and i killed the radio and rolled down the windows to hear a mustang idle or drive by, completely ignoring the conversation we were having... every time id make a comment or something she would say "youre saying this like i care?!?!?!?"

but slowly and surely she is starting to come around. She will hang out in the garage for about 2 minutes while im workin on the car, and if she sees a nice mustang, she'll point it out to me.

My Wife isn't "into" this whole thing....but she supports my love for it. Every time out to the track, my Wife goes with me...helping me load my slicks and jack into her Explorer, and sits there in the stands with camcorder in hand.

My wife is NOT into cars whatsoever. She just pretends to pay attention to what I'm saying and sometimes just flat out tells me she doesn't care.

i dunno if its just me but I really dont like girls that are into mustangs or cars, its a really big turnoff. Its like dating a dude or something lol. Im just happy with a girl who appriciates the work and doesnt call it dumb or anything. If I wanna bs about cars I talk to my friends lol, when someone brings their gf or w/e to hang out its so annoying. This is why you dont ditch your friends when you get tied up with a girl!

I concur. I don't mind if a hot girl hangs out though.

My ex was really into it and knew all my car friends and a few of my Stangnet buddies. My new one, we don't get to spend time together much so she doesn't know 'em yet. She likes cars and loves the Stang though, so she's cool

My wife rocks!
She loves my car almost as much as me. Sometimes I wonder if she likes it more. LOL. When I was considering selling it (to buy a '93 SVT Cobra), she was quite upset.
On one hand, she doesn't know shyt about cars. But, on the other hand, she knows nearly every angle to mine. Perfect!
