Does a vert with dumps = a bad idea?

well i got some Magnaflows cheap and just want to get them welded in. Well The outlet on the magnaflows is larger than the stock tailpipe. so i figure i would just dump the magnaflows until i can get the coin for some 2.5 inch tailpipes. the exhaust shop is going to fab ub some 2.5 inch flowtubes from my Xpipe to the mufflers. Anyone see a problem with dumping the magnaflows in a vert for a few months till i get the coin for the tailpipes?

any suggestions as where to get the tailpipes for the best price?

A friend has dumps on a vert and it sounds great, just don't sit idling in one place for a long time.

I used to have dumps on my vert. it rattled the change in my cup-holder all all the time, but it sounded great. I now have side exhaust, and the only time I have a problem with exhaust getting in the car is when the door is open. I'm planning on going back to dumps when I do my engine swap so I can finally put sub-frame connectors on

I've got dumps on my Flowmasters (it's a vert as well). It sounds great, especially with the top down. I was debating on it for a while, so I finally did it. 3 days later I was told not to drive my car because my registration was expired. I don't get to drive it very often (once or twice a week). I took it out tonight and just realized how great my car sounded since I hadn't heard it in a while.

DO IT!!!

I wouldn't do it on a vert either because all the exhaust
fumes will give you a headache.I would run the tailpipes
if I were you.

I have a vert with dumps, so maybe 7/8 full of 2nd and 3rd hand info.

I don't get exhausted at all, mainly because I like the smell of the fumes. Some people it may bother, but I like it.

i have a vert, man.
and i had side exhaust. I did disconnect the side pipes for a little bit, just to get that dumps sound/feel. Trust me I know what it's like to have dumps.
You get more drone, you get more exhaust fumes, it's a lot louder on the inside, than it is on the outside. It doesn't sound bad, but fully piped exhaust still sounds better.

So calling me a homo and stupid won't solve you're e-problems, but I answered the guy's question and you should just swallow it.
