I just noticed this in my engine as i was cleaning it....

a rubber band?? lol, seriously though, what part are you referring to?

yeah, the rubber band...but why would it be there? Is it supposed to be wrapped around something?

looks like one to me as well I dont know how it could have got on there though.

I cut it off now but I'm puzzled as to how it got on there, something would have had to be disconnected to get it on by the looks of it.

They use rubber bands to "hank" back the long ends of harnesses during assembly. Then they just pull the connector thru and the rubber band sometimes stays on the harness.
