I've been needing a new gear box since 04 when the second of two Advanced Auto Parts (man do those guys suck!!) rebuilt units failed. I drove on it a while compensating for the large amount of play and effort required to turn the wheels. My stang's been sitting up 16 months now though since I started my paint job.

Anyway, does anyone know where I can find a new Gear Box for my 73?

I thought I'd ask. I'm a little leery of buying a rebuilt box after my advance experience, but I looked at John's mustangs and they've got one, so does Napa. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. I can't believe how hard it is to find certain 71-73 specific parts.

Hey I thought I saw a thread on that somewhere. Thanks.

I'll follow those leads and let you know. Probably I'll contact the Lee engineering people and see what they can do.
