Does anyone work at a ford dealership? (Need a part number)

I am needing to make sure i got the right part from my ford dealership. I ordered a seal, and it looks alot smaller than the one on my tranny.

The seal (o-ring) im needing is for the top cover on a T-5 where the top cover goes into the tailshaft. The part number on the seal i got is 87038-S91

The part number you have is the correct one, I just looked it up. Was the bag it came in sealed, or had it been opened? There is always the possibility that it was bagged wrong, but if it was a sealed bag then I would suspect it is correct. Either way the part number you have is correct for the seal you are looking for.

Thank you, i appreciate your time.. the bag (brown back, clear front) is sealed, it just looks a little thinner than the one pictured above.. maybe thats because its wore out as all hell... but again, thank you for looking, i appreciate it!
