50Bomber, if that was the point, it would make more sense to have the lines go through the TB itself. And I think that a heat-riser off the headers would be MUCH more effective. When it is cold out, coolant is cold too. And it takes a little bit for it to warm up as well (exhaust gets hot about as fast as anything, hence the heat risers being so common on so many cars).
You should keep them unless you have a good reason for deleting them since they do cool the EGR spacer which can transfer more heat to the upper intake if you delete the coolent lines. That being said apart from a hotter intake and possibly hotter intake charge you should have no problems if you do delete them.

It seems as though the upper intake (without an intake spacer) gets awfully hot anyways and it is attached to the EGR spacer. So it seems as if the coolant lines try to cancel that extra heat from the intake off.
So what cons or pros is their exactly for capping them off. Mine have been capped off for a few years (previous owner did it).
i capped mine offf. And when i had my LT1, those lines actually run into the TB and i capped those off too. I thought the hot coolant would hurt performance. I think MAC even sells a LT1 throttle body coolant line bypass kit. Now i feel kinda naive for doing these things. Neither car seemed to run any better so it was probably just a waste of time. Oh well. I also put on a phenolic intake spacer between my stock intake looking for power. What a joke. Now I realize they are mostly used for valve cover clearance. Oh well. I had to learn all these things the hard way. Better than not learning at all i suppose...................

I didn't cap my EGR spacer, just bypassed it (running the hose right over it). I wasn't after gains - I was just trying to see if it would get rid of the tiny bit of moisture I kept finding in my TB whenever I took off the intake tube. Oddly enough, after removing the hoses, no more moisture. Either the gasket's leaking, or I've got a cracked/rotted spacer.
Regardless, no other problems as a result of it. And, no, the Satanic Possession issue I'm still wrestling with is not related to it; I only bypassed the TB a month ago, but I've been having the other problems from Day 1 of owning this 'Stang (though I wish it were something that simple).
