Does header wrap work??

Well since im pulling the engine to tear it apart finally, I want to wrap the chrome headers (ceramic coating them is not in the budget) they are BBK Long tubes and have under 1k on them. I cant afford new headers unless I can sell these but I guess my only other opyion is to wrap them, does it work? what do I buy? and how hard is it to install with hte headers off the car? is there a write up?

I was also thinking of doing this but when i did a few searches I found out they can cause the headers to rust much quicker due to the wrap holding in the moister..Most if not all company will void the warranty on there headers if they have been wrapped.....

I wrapped my BBKs, one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. That **** holds moisture like crazy. Anyway, it ruined my headers within a year. I had a primary collapse from corrosion within two years. Now I've ripped the wrap off, but the headers are destroyed.

Leave them as is, worse thing that happens is they look discolored.

Header wrap is a mistake. It works well for a while but quickly goes south. There are other options out there which a much better like ceramic coating
The header wrap holds in moisture and also holds in heat to the point the headers begin to warp
so never go with wrap, it also doesnt look that great

it works by helping keep the heat down. I have my about 2' behind my turbo wrapped, only because it is so close to my intake. When I took it off after about 8 months everything looked fine. I would never wrap my headers though. I have seen pictures of what the others are describing.
