Does my '88GT have roller lifters?

I think I have bad lifters and want to buy a set before I break it all down.

I have a 1988 GT w/AOD. I don't know if I have rollers or standards.

you shouild have roller lifters. 85-95 5.0 mustangs were "roller motors"

Almost correct. Factory Roller Rockers only came on '93-'95 Cobra's. All other's came with standard stamped steel rocker arms.
