Does My Base 2013 V6 Have The 4" Lcd Screen?

  • Sponsors (?)

I want it to display if a door a ajar. (it shows the car and four doors closed. If a door is open, it shows on the picture which exact door is not shut).

I pretty sure the lcd screen only comes with the premium models. Or maybe if you get the tech package on a base model. I would check out ford's site and see if they have anything listed.

I have a base GT with 3.73's and tech pack. Mine shows the doors and trunk open in the screen between the gauges.

How did you get it to show that. I can't figure it out

Hey guys -

The new 4.2" LCD screen (located in the instrument cluster) is available for premium trim levels only. Please look at this link to see an example of the screen: http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/features/#page=FeatureCategory3.

If you're having trouble resetting the displays in your Mustang's information cluster, please check out the "Information Displays" section in the owner's manual: https://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerGuidePage.

Hope this helps, :)

Why in the hell does Ford skimp so much on their base model. Other cars, such as BMW and Mercedes include these upgrade (LCD screen, letherette seats, and something like sync) in their base models!!

Sounds like you should have spent 15-20K more on a base model BMW or Mercedes and got what you wanted. Instead, YOU SKIMPED and bought a base model Mustang. Please, stop making so many threads and clogging up the forums with useless "I scratched the trim around the ignition, how do I get it out" crap! Jesus...

We create trim levels to accommodate each type of customer. Some upgrades can be added as stand-alone options too. Please visit this site to submit your feedback about our different models: http://social.ford.com/.

Hmmmm...Maybe because it's a BASE MODEL?

Hmmm; I'm guessing you wanted the words "BASE MODEL" to be seen! :D

Did you just compare a base v6 to a BMW and Mercedes? Oh face palm...

Buying a 'Stang, regardless of trim level, should never be called skimping. ;) As chris28912 has pointed out, please mention the V6 Premium, GT Premium, Boss 302, and Shelby GT500 next time you post; they're unforgettable: http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/models/!
