2002 GT Vert-Stock

When I change gears, let's say at 2000 rpm, while the car goes through the neutral zone, the rpm's actually increase by approximately 1-2 hundred rpms.

Is this weird? Or is it normal.

It's the infamous RPM hang found in Mustangs. Nothing to worry about but if it's annoying to you, you'll have to do the IAC mod. This has been discussed before so if you do a search on copper pipe cap, you'll see what I mean.

Normal do the IAC mod, or put some FI on it to make it go away.

I did the IAC copper cap mod and I noticed that there is a barely audible noise at start up that goes away after the car warms up. Is that normal?

The IAC mod rules. The transmission would sometimes grind when I used to upshift because the rpm's would increase when pressing in the clutch. The IAC mod fixed that problem.

I thought this happens because I tap on the gas while I'm going on the clutch? Makes shifts smoother, doesn't bother me

magnum347 was selling a plate pretty cheap you stick in the IAC to fix the problem. I just e-mailed to see if he still sells 'em.
