Eric, I agree with you about crowned roads (that's what you're talkin about with the Turtle backed reference, I think - that's a new term on me but it makes sense). The gyroscopic effect of spinning wheels counteracts the effect to an extent.

However, I think that GMGt is having an issue with the steering darting side to side as he hits ruts and what-not. You constantly have to correct in each direction, not just countersteer into the crown.

That happens to me too. Altough if the bumps are big enough Im more than likely not going to fast over them. But when I do get it its really not that bad. Dosent bother me.

I'm sure how, but somewhere along the line I got rid of that problem. I think it went away with the tire change, from Kumho 275/40 to the Hankook 255/45. The tread patterns aren't all that different at all. When the Kumho's were new, I didn't have that problem either, so....

A lot of it went away when I went from KYB struts and B springs to C springs and Bilsteins, up front. That helped my camber situation and allowed me to get factory spec.

i agree with you guys, all my suspension settings seem to be in check. I was checking out my brother's 95 gts, and he has 275's on the front of his car and he has the same problem. We both have good quality tires (bfg t/a's and i have nitto 555's)......So, i guess i should throw down for some cheap tires..

BUT before i do this, i got to thinking, using a bit of reverse engineering from my bronco. My lift kit came with a steering stabilizer to offset this same issue when you install wider tires on a truck. It basically dampens the left to right pull.

SO, what do you think of me installing one of the stang? I could fab up a bracket and mount from the inner tie rod to the frame on one side.....should work right?

Sounds logical to me...

It will be a tight fit but you seem to be pretty good at fabbing stuff so why not try it... let us know how much it helps...
