only when i take it out in the cooler weather sice i usually only drive it on real nice warm days. most of the time when it surprises me its on my regular street tires, i just too off my drag radials because the street tires are soo much fun lol Like breakin the tires loose at a 50 mph roll in second, dont get much better lol

i recently put pony rims on my car with falken z rated 245's on the back. now when rolling along in 2nd gear i can barely tap the gas and it gives this nice hard little chirp. they seem to hook better than my 225hr khumo's so i assume the chirping is because the falkens are aharder compound tire. with the khumos i could stomp it and they would just spin. it's nice when you're rolling along in traffic slowly and someone decides to pull up on you. i chirp the tires about three or four times and they slooowly back away.

replaced my old leaky exhaust. sounds better and actually gained some power. just has more pep all around, not just WOT but smooth and strong all the time, just cruising.

I slowly dragged my car up to 4500 RPMs one cool night in 2nd, let off the pedal for a sec, and then slammed it back down. The back wheels hopped off the ground before they came back down and I went sideways.

Definitely surprised me, as I never thought the car had that much kick, but now that I know the true powerband on the cam I have starts at about 4k, it makes sense.

ill advised

I get that sometimes. I don't drive my '90 nearly as much so I'm no longer "immune" to the power like I was when it was my daily. When I do drive it I rarely take it above 4k but when I slam the throttle it does bring a smile to my face, "woah!".

I was a little surprised last night , by a turboed G35 ........thought it was stock , thought I'd see how my pretty much stock stang could hang with it , got up beside him gave him a rev........thats when I heard the pssshhhhht...BOV...handed me my A$$....but he was cool , stopped at the next light some small talk and gave each other a thumbs up .

I'm used to driving modded stangs so a little bit of a humbling experience , but we'll meet again someday.......and a few mods later...hehe

The RAM is a great truck , I chose it over the F-250 mainly because I got a great deal on it . got the '04 with the HEMI , tow package , Laramie package which includes leather/suede seats and infinity sound system and sport package which makes it all blacked out and the bling 20's all for $23000 out the door .

Its great for hauling , I pull a 30ft travel trailer with no problems , its rated up to 8650lb tow capacity .

the only problem with the ram is a little thing called torque management . It pulls timing in between shifts to make them smoother but kills performance , it can be bipassed with a chip though .

I think i've seen all my car has to offer at this point....but every once in a while i'll be surprised at how much better it runs than at other times. You get that with a carbed car though.
