theres a special tool they sell at auto zone to disconnect the pipes, but make sure you empty the system first because that freaking freon gets everywhere.

If you take out all the lines and the dryer canister and the pump you can certainly take out the condenser. I did mine and the engine bay looks so much cleaner now...

what are you thinking? you live in alabama!

i live in DC where it is not nearly as hot as AL, and i would want to kill myself if i did not have a/c

you will grow to regret your decision to have no a/c

To anyone who's removed theirs, if you have the manifold hose assembly that bolts to the back of the compressor and want to get rid of it, please PM me. Thanks!!

i have a way but its not really legit just twist the black cap off the lines and its like a valve stem just release the freon be sure to have a shop rag or something so it doesnt get everywhere and if u wanna do it the right way go to a shop and let them decompress the system

considering how bad the environment is,global warming, destruction of the ozone layer,ect... why contribute to it ?i know releasing freon into the atmosphere from one car is not that big a deal, but why do it?spend a couple of dollars and have an a/c shop properly discharge the system.they can properly dispose of the freon so it does not screw up the environment for the generations to come.

you may think, "with the environment so bad, what's a little freon going to do?'or'i can't help the environment,so why worry about it?"

clean up of the environment starts with one person taking a look at the world around them and thinking "i'll take a few minute's and do it the right way".

would you pour oil or antifreeze down the storm drain?i know you would'nt.freon is the same thing.

we all do our part helping the environment by keeping our cars tuned-up,running in tip-top shape.

i would not trade my mustang for anything.some would say,"if your so worried about the environment, trade in that V8 for a 4 cyl honda or something".well i have one of those as well.

i'm not some crazy environmentalist, but why pollute when there's another way?

Thats being over sensitive to the enviroment. Regardless that we discovered it and made it into what it is, its all made out of common elements on the element table. If you want to do any good for the enviroment, hold in your farts, less sulfer In all honesty, AC delete is pointless, because its the same as though you just put a pulley in its place when it's off, because its not engauged. It'll devalue the car as well if you ever consider selling it. I don't buy cars that have ac deletes, because more times then not, the part thats in the heater box (sorry stupid moment, forgot the name), goes bad from being exposed to dirt and open enviroment of the underhood for so long.

that's why i dont fart (just kidding).it's just my opinion,i dont expect anyone to agree with me,just putting it out there.a/c delete is more for weight saving as our cars are nose heavy than reducing the parasitic drag.

click and scroll down for freon effect's on humans and environment.
