doing a 6spd swap have a few questions.

first I wanted to introduce myself and give a little info on the car. names Wes I live in OKC, OK... I am helping a buddy do a tranny swap from a 00gt the tranny we have is from an 03 cobra... I have heard that we may need a new crossmember.. Is there any truth to this? This car has a intercooled D1 procharger, forged engine, ported polished heads, full exhaust w/longtubes, an extrude honed intake, and a nx wet kit, The car toasted 2nd gear so we decided to put a t56 in because its a little stronger and it would be different. If anyone knows I would appreciate the help..

I just put a T56 in mine 3 month ago. You need a shorted driveshaft and a few other things for the T56 (bracket, mount kit...) install.
