Doing a clutch install myself, what will I need...

I'm going to be installing my clutch this weekend, i've already got the basic tool set. I've installed a clutch before on my rx7, but with some professional help, so its almost like doing this for my first time. What parts should I get for the entire job, and will it be doable without air tools? I used air tools on the rx7 and it made it easy, but going to do it myself without this time. I know i'll need a torque wrench, but how hard of a job is it on my 96 GT and is there anything I should be looking out for? Also what tools exactly will I need for the job? Thanks.

tranny jack thingie would be nice addition. Biggest thing is, now I haven't done one in Mustang yet. But I did one in my old MR2(mid-engine car), is to once clutch/flywheel/pressure plae assembry is in the car, its really hard to line up the spline shaft. Now i did MR2 with Engine/transaxle out from the car, there for it was much much easier(plus I had help) to wiggle the transaxle in the place, but still took me a while. I can only imagine how much harder it will be with transmission when u work under the car...

It is definitely doable without air tools. Just make sure you get the flywheel resurfaced and to torque the bolts progressively and evenly in a criss-cross pattern. Use threadlocker on all the flywheel and pressure plate bolts. Make sure you get a new throwout bearing and take the time to adjust the clutch properly.

plan for a two day tear down and install to be safe. basic socket set works but be sure to have plenty of extensions and a universal jointed socket. a helper. a good floor jack. a can aerosol can of wd-40 or something similar to spray exhaust bolts/nuts. a ratchet strap to wrap around the tranny and hold it on the floor jack. lots of patience especially when doing the starter and putting the tranny back in. a good clutch kit contains most everything but a flywheel. depending on your cars mileage i would say buy a new one instead of resurfacing.
