Doing some work on the stang, but I need some advice.

Im doing my rear brakes, what tool do I need to rent from AutoZone or wherever?

It's a box looking thing that attaches to a 3/8 inch drive (your ratchet, torque wrench) ect. It has "nubs" on it that fit into the slots in the rear brakes piston so that you can torque the piston down in order to clearance the new pads.

Some say you can do this with needlenose pliers, **** that ****...buy the tool, it's less than $10.

I am also going to install my T/A diff. cover. Ive got the friction modifier and everything.

With 90% of differential fluids sold today you don't need extra friction modifier- in fact, it'll make your traction lok more prone to slip instead of grip. Check the fluid you bought, if it's made for LSD/traction-lok/posi type differentials than don't add the extra friction modifier, the fluid already has it.

Does anyone know how to install one of these. Its got holes around its perimeter for the normal mounting bolts but it also has stoppers and thats where Im running into trouble. How do I set the stoppers to the right height? Also, Ive got some RTV to help with the gasket, should I apply it on both sides or just one (its needed right?)

Not sure about the installation, my stock cover just bolts right on...but make sure you are using black RTV, the differential fluid will eat right through the grey stuff.

And finally I have a small funnell to fill the rear end up but do I need a pump instead, the kid at AutoZone said the funnel will do the job but when I did it last time with the older diff cover I needed to use a pump of some sort.

I can't imagine being able to fill the pumpkin with a funnel, there is no room to let gravity do it's thing. I've always used a siphon pump.

bolt the TA cover on, you want to adjust the bolts so they are snug against the carrier bearings, not tight, you dont want pressure on it, but touching, so when they flex it pushes on the TA cover. USe the pump, read on the back of your mobil one, does it say it has friction modifier in it?? if it does your set. Buy the tool, 8 $ at auto zone, 10 at sears.
