Last I heard is that the kit for 67-70 is almost done. He's really good at keeping secrets.

Ok, here is what's going on. We have the 68-70 kits SOOOOOO close. Oboebrian hooked me up with a guy out of N.C. that is going to do our CNC work. I just talked with him today, and they are going to shoot us a quote on the parts we sent them (rough mock ups we did in the shop) within the next day or so.

They will be doing our upper control arm shafts, and front strut mounts. Everything else is done and waiting.

We are looking at both Koni, and Bilstein for the shocks. We do have a deal with Bilstein because they do all our off-road shocks, but Koni's pricing is awesome right now, and we are trying VERY hard to keep costs friendly.

I will let everyone know as soon as we find out when our CNC work is done.

We will be working on those as soon as we get the 68-70's in working order.

It won't take nearly as long to design those, because the control arms shafts, and front strut mounts (the CNC parts) will interchange. So it's just a matter of re-designing the strut rods themselves, and the upper and lower arms.

I apologize that this is taking so long, but it is due to problems outside of my control. When CNC shops are to busy to give the service we need, it's very frustrating.

Hopefully that problem is now solved.

I'm glad that I was able to hook you two together. Seriously, if you need anything else just let me know.

If you need a 65-66 coupe to mock up the suspension in a month or two let me know and I'll put my 65 back together and drive it up there for ya (I was doing rough primer and prelim bodywork, but it needs a front suspension work bad).

And when you need a mock up for the 71-73s you know where to go also

Do you do something along this lines for a living? If not are you hoping to, or do you just want this to be a side thing?

I am a painter by trade. My uncle does off-road truck design, and fabrication. I HATE my job. Been doing it for 12+ years, and it has done nothing but wreck my health over those last 12 years.

I am going to try and make the suspension thing a business that I can make a living off of. Even if it doesn't do that for me, it will at least maybe afford me the time to seek out something else to do for work.

Oboebrian: You have been such a huge help, and honestly, if you hadn't sent me that guys info, I would still be sitting here trying to find a shop! Thank you very much.

You prob wont be able to post this, but I have been keeping up with your suspension progress for some time now. Do you have any idea of the pricing for the hopefully "soon-to-be" 64-66 kits? If you cant get a specific price, do you think it will be over 1500?? How will this kit compare to Rod and Custom price and preformance wise?

No, we don't have access to a 67 right now, but I am fairly sure our 68-70 kits will work on the 67's just fine because we aren't utilizing any of the factory strut rod stuff. I believe the dimensions of the 67 and the 68 are exactly the same, it's just that Ford got a wild hair, and did a different strut rod.

I am sure someone here will chime in if I am incorrect, but like I said, once the 68-70 stuff is done, then we will go hardcore on the rest.

I just need to find a 67 here in town and pull some measurements (or you guys with a 67 can tell me if I am correct)

We haven't as of yet been able to determine a final price, because all our cost estimates aren't in yet. It really depends on the CNC work, and what kind of deal we can get on shocks.

It's tough right now because I don't have massive capital to call up Koni and say "Hey I need 25 sets of shocks, make me a deal".

I also have lawyer fees to take care of, P.O.S. credit card machine, we just bought an IronWorker ect ect ect.

Coming in under 1500.00 would be a stretch at this point. I will promise you guys this though, we will be cheaper than TCP and cheaper than Global West.

I found out that the G.W. kits are going for 3 grand...and TCP is not far behind after their price increase that is soon to come.

I am a Mustang guy. I know what it is like to look at this stuff that we all want, and think 3 grand? I will make these kits as affordable as possible guys. I am not looking to get rich off this, I am merely looking to quit my crappy job, and do something I love. So when the final total of what it costs us to make these things comes in, I will set a firm price.

I understand where your coming from. Who knows what the future will hold, but right now I only know the Mustang. We are going to get into some other things as far as our cars go as well.

I appreciate your honesty though!

Oh man, I don't know how kick ass it is, but I will tell you what, it was a lot of welding.

No I was thinking roll cage, subframe connectors, engine bay bracing, ect ect.

Just the typical Mustang stuff, but I am up for ideas of other things if you guys have suggestions.
