I did the same thing....I forget exactly which wire to cut, and my car is in New Mexico while I'm in North Carolina, can't exactly go look at it. Hope this gets you in the right direction though....

I pulled the switch out of the drivers side door, it looks like a little button, it's on the forward side interior, same location as the hinges. There are 3 wires, two power, one ground. one is for the chime, the other is for the interior lights, and the other is like I said the ground. Here is where you can get out a meter or test light to figure out which is which, like i said I forgot.

Dirty way to do it would be to cut one wire at a time, see what stops working...maybe you get it right the first time, if not just splice it back together.
I believe the gray wire was the ground, so you can leave that alone.

Not the best info, but as I said hope it points you in the right direction

good luck, that chime was horrible, glad its gone.

Personally I would open the steering column and see what seems to be swotching it, I am sure your car has the broken trim piece around the ignition key. I would cut a wire there.

All I did was disconnect the little white box that actually makes the noise and took it out. It's up under the dash on the drivers side beside where the radio mounts...not in the dash but up high in the driver's foot well.
2 bolts, take the connector out and you're done.

Those other ways just seem too hard

sounds good to me as well, had no idea said box even existed...but I do like how it'll still chime if you leave the lights on...I know I know, "I never leave my lights on", but there are those that have and those that will...either way..good to know about that box...

good luck hollywood

yep i just unplugged mine but like everyone else said...you won't get a chime when you leave your lights on so be careful. I forget what color wire is the actual door chime. You could just disconnec that and still have the other chimes.
