Door Glass Removal

I was flipping through my Service Manual and it says that the Bracket on the Door Glass has to be Drilled out in order to remove it, is it possible to remove the glass without having to remove the bracket from it?

yea its possible but it invloves some bending. best way to do it, take the nuts off the arm that the window rides on. should be 2 or 3. right in the center of the door frame. pull out on the sheet metal and pull your window up and remove the window guide track ( solid steel or whatever it is bar) then pull your window out that way. ive done it this way just so you dont have to drill out the rivets.

I've done it by cutting the window frame completely off the door. It works great like that as long as you don't need the door afterwards.

Thanks for the Info, I am the 2nd Owner of the Car and way back when it was new someone smashed the P/S Window and his Insurance Company put a Generic Window in there and it has bothered me for years, so I finally bought a Ford Window and would like to get it in there.
