Upon reasembling the stangs exterior after paint, I found that the the rod that comes from the handle and attaches to the latch is missing the hardware to attach it to the latch. I looked in my door and found a few plastic peices that broke. Does anyone know the part number of what I am trying to describe and where I can get it. Its not the latch rod retainer metal clip where you shove it through and swing the arm and clip it on. thanks

The plastic pieces go into the metal clips. The rod ends go into the plastic pieces and the metal clip retains the whole assembly

Call up the Mustang Shop at 480-926-3883 and ask Randy (or John) for the door latch/lock clips. They always ahave several in stock. Remember that plastic center shattered when I made you take off the handle before painting?

Gp001 that part is not what I need. I need the part that secures the metal rod to the actual latch which I belive is a plastic peice. Thanks obo for the number I'll call tommorow.

Ah, I see. I think the part you are looking for is called the Pawl Bushing. If you go to NPDs website they have a diagram with part numbers. Page 142
