Door handle rod

Im trying to remove the door handles from my 67. I know the rod/clip system is what connects the handles to the latch. But how do you reach the clip to remove the rod from the inside of the door handle? Is there a trick to it? Or do you just find someone with skinny/long arms?

Work by feel,
Sometimes you can pull the handle out enough to unsnap the rod clip.
Or use a small bladed screwdriver to pop it off.
Skinny arms do help too.

LIke pabear89 said, work by feel. Just get a small screwdriver, like a jewlers, and use it to pop them off. It took me about 30 mins to do both on my 67 the first time. Word of advice though, make sure they stay out of the way if you ever have to roll the window down for some reason. I broke the window regulator cause I wasn't paying attention to this.
