so far there lock sets ive seen have diff keys for the door and trunk and that doesn't include the ignition so i would be looking at 3 diff keys i only want to use one

thx

Take out your door and trunk lock cylinders. Take them to a locksmith with your ignition key. Tell them you want that key to work with those cylidners. They can change the tumblers inside those cylinders to fit your ignition key.

How does it work to have a locksmith do it when the orientation of the key on the ignition is the exact opposite from the ignition?

Take the two keys off your ring and line them up. Look at the end. The top of the key will be right next to each other, the bottom way away from one another.

So a locksmith would actually have to put a different cylinder in the lock that has the proper key orientation.

This thread needs to get back on track and stay on track. This is a technical forum and not a parts/store review forum.

Though I understand a user wanting to caution about dealings that he/she has had, it appears that the caution issued in this thread is NOT about parts concerning the topic at hand but about parts that are TOTALLY unrelated.

The topic of this thread concerns Door, Trunk, and Glove box locks... NOT speedometers.

If you all want to duke it out then do it in PM. I've moved all the useless, unrelated posts to fight club. Feel free to visit this thread to continue your Ummm... "discussion":

As for this thread... back on topic before users begin to mysteriously disappear.
