does anyone have a picture how the rod is supposed to hook up to the door handle. i have two rods left one for the key and the other for the handle and i can't figure out which is for the door handle and how it stays on. thanks- marcin
If memory serves me correct, the rod slips in through the bottom of the eye on the handle. I bought a "keeper" for this end of the rod because when/if they freeze up my rod would pop out of the handle and I would have to take the door panel off and redo it again. I haven't had to redo since.
This is a rough, quick hand drawn from memory, but it may help ya.
At the local hardware store. I forget the size of the rod. In a small town they let you take a handful of different sizes outside to try. Then I took them back in and paid for the one I needed. Gotta love the small towns, lol.
