door lock actuator problem

I'm new here, this is my first post actually, but i have an 89 vert. When I got it, the door lock actuators had been taken out, so i bought some offa ebay. the problem is that there is a white holder that a round circle on the actuator slides into to hold it in place. the round part from the old actuator is still in the holder, and its in there good. i have tried a few things to get it out, but the space is small and the white holder moves. the thing is practically glued in there! I thought about trying to unscrew the holder form the outside to take it out and get the round thing out, but it would be hella hard to get it back in, and the screw holding it in doesnt look like its made to come out, so thats another problem. if my description was too crappy to understand, lemme know and i'll take pics with my digi cam. thanks

its riveted in, just drill out the old rivet from the outside and go to a body shop and ask if you can use their big riveter to put them back in. Drilling them out is By far the easiest way to do it.

I used a drill to knock out the rivet and used a 1/4 20 bolt in its place. Used a Dremel to cut the excess threads so it doesn't hit the jamb. Alot easier to replace the next time around, since the door locks are prone to failure.
