Door Lock Relay?

I believe the door lock relay has gone bad on my stang...anybody know where it is in the car to test it...also, anybody know the part numbers for replacement. The symptoms are as follows:
- every once in a while, one of the two doors will react to the switch (lock or unlock)...but the majority of the time neither of them work. I've never noticed the key being hard to turn, so I don't believe it to be a mechanical failure...and it started w/ both doors at the same time. If anybody else has an opinion on the subject please let me know.

thanks

Sounds like a fuse problem Check also the control your using for the relays. Try you remote and see if they open up. I'd guess its a bad connection. It shoulnd't matter if the car is runing or not.

I don't think the '02 has any serviceable power door lock relays. The lock/unlock actuators are driven directly by the GEM (Generic Electronics Module), which is attached to the fuse panel. After 5 years on StangNet, I have yet to read of anyone replacing a bad GEM. I'm with mustang452002, who thinks the most likely cause is an intermittent door lock fuse or fuse that is making a poor connection in its socket.
