Door Locks?

Hi i have an 1994 sn95 mustang gt and the ignition key doesnt work in the doors. I called a locksmith and he said that the ignition should be the same as the doors for 94. so what im wondering is why dont my ignition keys work in the doors. they fit but dont turn.

It's the same way on my car. Both are the original Ford keys. One small one, one big one.
