Door panels, are these inserts rare?

i scored a ton of black interior this weekend. one of the things being some halo headrests, and several sets of door panels.

one of them has the carpet inserts. i kinda like the look of these over the more common (i think?) vinyl style. are these carpeted inserts rarer? i like putting the best stuff i collect into my notch interior usually.

just curious if these are maybe better off being sold or keepin them.

i could be wrong but i think the gt's came with the cloth panel inserts while lx's got the plain vinyl

ok. i've seen like 20 sets of vinyl to 1.5 sets of cloth now. just curious.

the .5 set (i got one panel) came out of an LX.

the full set i just got came from a GT.

Im looking for a clean set of Porno Red door panels with the cloth insert. My current panels are super clean, but I want the ones with the insert to complete my 2 tone interior down the road... I doubt you ever pay attention to any red interior you see, but LMK if you find a nice set, I will buy them...

My doors are vinyl in my GT, I think it was an option but wasn't model specific

I think its optioned or its a anniversary thing. i have a 1990 25th anniv lx and i have the cloth inserts. every other one ive seen were all vinyl

I think it was available in 87-90 cars. after that they were all vinyl. my last two foxes had the tweed inserts on the panels.

Well, my existing panels are super clean, but IDK if I can use the inserts on mine or not? So most likely looking for the entire panel since I would rather not cut mine up. If I was to use an entire panel, they would have to be VERY clean, but if I just used the tweed insert with my existing panels, it wouldn't matter since I would get it recovered in black cloth or suede... PM me if you have any info on a nice set....

if you do decide to go with just the insert let me know. I've got red ones in my 89 that will be replacing so i would be inclined to give them to you at next to nothing.

the headrests are rare. depending on if they have the netting in them or not.


btw i got some good door panels out of a 89, vinyl with the fabric insert. pm me if interested
