Well my interior door handle doesnt work anymore, when i pull it it just clicks :/ I took off the handle covering, and the spring inside it looks really loose. How do i fix this?

Do i have to take off the door panels, and whats the easiest way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

You will need to pull the door panels. You can get a special tool to help you pull off the little plastic toothed things that hold it on but I have just used screwdrivers in the past to pry them off. There are little bars that run through the door and connect the lever to the latch mechanism. They have little plastic keepers that often break and will disconnect the bar. You will have to pull the panel off to find out though. Once you have it off the problem will be pretty obvious.

You will need to take the panel off and see why it isn't working. It should be an easy thing to see. There is probably a clip that came off and a connector that came apart. If you need to replace that spring or the whole handle you have to have the panel off anyway.

The auto parts store usually has them. If not you can get them through 50resto or some place like that.

You need to pull off the arm rest and then just pull out and up at the same time. Take the cover off the inside of the mirrors too and it will be easier. You have to pull the panel up to get it off the door.

Alright, so i looked at it, and the first problem was that the plastic gears that were in the handle were off, thats what was creating the problem.

So i popped that back in, but now the handle doesnt pull back far enough to open the door, what could cause this? its almost as if the rod is too short!
