check to make sure you have voltage coming to the switch . if you do unplug the motor and stick the end of a multi meter in the harness end and hit the switch. if it has voltage there to its your motor. if you dont have voltage anywhere start checking fuses

I will save you some time & energy I will bet you it is a break or possibly several breaks in the wiring from the door to the inside kick panel. I spent hours only due to my own ignorrance troubleshooting the problem in my 90 I knew it had to be a bad switch or motor or problem with passenger switch keeping circuit open. My last idea was to slice open the rubber sleeve covering the wires note I only had a problem with one window but I had like 12 broken or almost broken thru wires. I cut out the bad part spliced it up & in 35 minutes I was back in buisness. You have to figure the drivers door gets opened very time you go out & when you get out that it a lot of opening/closing going on the wires get brittle after bending so many times & break. Made perfect sense after wasting a lot of time guessing what it could be. I can post a picture of what mine looked like if you like.
