On july 21, Atlanta Motor Speedway is having their first friday night drags, it will be heads up, no electronics racing. they will have more races in the next few months. i hear this is to see how many folks are interested in drag racing and depending on the outcome they may build a drag strip. if you are in the georgia area please attend to support this needed track. there are no tracks within an hour or more of the atlanta area. visit: www.atlantamotorspeedway.com for more details. pass the word along

email me if you plan to attend. [email protected]

thanks, jeff

I was thinking about going. i heard about from streetcarforums.com, but i think its kind of dumb b/c they have only 3 classes and to be in the street car class all you have to do is show up there w/o a trailer, I know of several ppl dropping their trailers off a mile away and driving their"street car" to the track when it runs low 10s. I'd just get raped. I might roll down there just to support or whatever and to do the show thing.

That would be nice though to have a good track about 45 min from my house. Hey steve if you wanna meet up there I might be able to go and just show my car, no sense in racing just to be raped lol.

Don't you take the same exit that summit is at?

Going southbound take exit 218 and turn right, follow that road all the way to the track.

I take the back way though because its faster for me. I go on some roads back behind my house, to jonesboro rd, then I take 19/41 to the track.

The track is about 3 miles from my house so I will be there but I'm not going to race. I'm not about to line up next to one of those off-loaded trailer cars. I'll pay my entry fee to watch and hopefully a lot of others will too.
