so got some arp ext studs 2.5” going in my stock 4 lug axles. mm says to drill out axle flange with a 39/64” drill bit so arp one will fit. cant find a drill bit in that size. would a hole file work or a 5/8” drill bit work?

thnx

I'm sure arp stud splines need to displace a certain amount of metal while pressing.Maybe a 19/32 and a round file ,youneed .6094"dia.

MSC Direct will have exactly what you need. Wheel studs are a press fit item and the hole MUST be the correct size for them to work properly.

See https://www.mscdirect.com/browse/Holemaking/Drilling-Drill-Bits?navid=12106070

If it were me I would get that done by a rear & axel rebuild shop, unless you're a machinist . Not something a home mech should attempt.
