I've been going on little drives after work....just to take my mind off things....is it me or does the car seem to drive better once it gets warmed up?

thanks

Before normal operating is reached the system is in open loop where fuel control is fixed by the tables programmed in the ecu. Normally, when the engine reaches operating temperature the ecu switches to closed loop. In closed loop the ecu takes measurements from the O2 sensors to manage fuel mixture.

It's possible you notice it running better once warmed up since closed loop comes into play.

Been over this before but here goes again. What Tstat are you all running? Anyone running a stat cooler than the factory spec 192 degree may not even be entering closed loop

I wonder why the stock Motorcraft thermostat is a 192. Did they just pick that number randomly? It seems random, doesn’t it!? Those engineers, they mess with your brain every time.
