Drive shaft length - 9"

alright, my axle housing is out for powdercoating, and i'm hoping to get it back by the weekend. I'm hoping to get the whole 9" and 4 wheel disc brake swap done by sunday. So, since my housing is gone, i can't measure the length i'll need for the driveshaft. Does anyone know the length needed for a '65 mustang with 9" and C4? I'm not sure which yoke i have on the 3rd member, but i do know it's out of a late 70's bronco.

You're going to have to wait and measure for your specific application - there are way too many variables.

Do you have a local machine shop that can cut and balance your current driveshaft

Other poster is correct, there's 1310,1330,& 1350 yokes with the short & long yoke styles.

Also, you may be able to keep your existing driveshaft depending on which yoke you have or by switching yokes.

Call the boys at Mustangs Plus. They will pull out the chart and hook you up.

Mine was a perfect fit!

Thanks guys, I should have the rear end in tomorrow. I've got it all assembled and ready to go, i just need to pick up some new mounting bolts for the leafs and some new u-bolts. One of my friends was telling me about a conversion universal i could get to adapt one yoke to another. has anyone heard of that before?
