I have been reading that people are picking up 2-3 tenth in the 1/4 mile with the Spyder drive shaft and Sutton has them on sale right now for less than $500(http://www.suttonhp.com/store/item.asp?ITEM_ID=667&DEPARTMENT_ID=315). All the reviews I read where done with cars that were stock though, I'm not far from stock but can I expect the same 2-3 tenth with my mods in the 1/4? Also does anyone know if the Spyder shaft will work with the Granatelli Drive shaft safety loop both front and rear(http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/product_display.php?gid=35)?

Those loops look kind of small. That shaft gets up to 4" in diameter at one point. I would contact them to find out if it would work. That said, with a 1 piece shaft, you really only need a front loop. I would expect to see similar gains. Anywhere from .1-.3 secs.

Call Sutton and talk to Doug. He'll be able to tell anything about the set up you need to know. He'll be straight forward about what to really expect too.

Yeah, I was worried about it not being a quick bolt-on and having to chanage the pinion flange, but I watched the video and they make it look easy. I'm getting a new DS soon anyways (possibly to support boost.. but thats not confirmed yet), so I may just end up with that one.

its not much to swap the pinion flange. it comes out when you do gears anyway.

just need to be sure the pinion seal stays put. would be bad news if you were without that seal.

I have Rons(Spydershaft) D/S and love it. No problems at all. with a one piece drive shaft you don't need a rear d/s loop just a front one.

Shipping is not included at Modular Depot (at least not that I know of), I didn't realize Sutton offered free shipping on this. As it turns out you will be within a few dollars one way or another depending on where you live since the shipping is not a flat rate from MD.

where in MD are you located.
I'm between Baltimore and Frederick. If you are close to either call and we'll figure out a way to save you the shipping and stuff. + for installs and tuning you can try
JJ @ Woodbine Motorsports. Justin (JPC) sends people to him also for SCT tuning.

GMS loops fit my 4" Powerhouse driveshaft just fine. In fact I highly recommend them. Easy install (no dropping the driveshaft) and easy to adjust if you need to. Why would they not fit a 3.5" Spyder driveshaft?
I have seen people do way worse than ruin the pinion seal when changing the pinion flange. It is an easy way to make your gears start whining if you biff it up.

I just said to check. From the pictures they look a little small. That is all. If they fit your 4" DS, then they will work fine with the Spydershaft.
