Need some help in figuring this out. My Cobra runs and drives silky smooth until I hit 110 mph then it gets a fairly loud vibration through the whole car and vibrates the stick enough to make your hand numb. I dont have any gear whine or noise and the vibration wont go away till I am below 100 mph. Always the same, comes at 110 and will go away only below 100. Is this a problem with the gears or is this just an unbalenced driveshaft? Open to any suggestions, thanks everyone:nice:

I'm pointing at your driveshaft

Yes, get a new DS, it will complement your gears and your car should run smoother. I got a new after the gears about a month later and the car ran smooth and no vibration at all. The stock DS can't keep up with the gears because of the tq multiplication and being the stock DS is heavy, that doesn't help. The after-market DS will handle the driveline problems. There are a lot of good ones out there, I got mine from summit racing, the FMS AL one:nice: . Shipping is really fast, I ordered it the day before it showed up on my door:D

Go under and visually inspect your drifeshaft. Make sure there is zero play where the yoke slipes into the transmission. Also check each u-joint and see if anything looks bad or if there is play.

There is always a little drivetrain slack, so don't pay much attention to that.

Have you checked your tires first however? Usually tires out of balance don't shake the stick, but it cam if it's that bad
