Driver seat went up but won't go down...

I was elevating my driver's seat to clean underneath it and now it won't go back down. The motor runs but no movement. I looked for an obstruction but there is none. Is there anyway to get it down? Thanks for the help.

remove the seat then remove the seat track from the seat clean the track real good especially the screw gears that move the seat track they may have something in there binding...i have used a jump box or a 12 volt source with 2 wires and connected them to the plug in pins to activate the motors while the seat track was out to free up motors after cleaning...

Is there anyway to put the seat down manually?

bad switch or broken wire is a possibility too. grab the wiring diagram and volt meter ... go to town. Good luck.
