I noticed that the door wasn't sealing the way it had been recently. If I didn't give it more force than normal, the door would not shut all the way. I tried adjusting the little lever in the door and I ended up moving it the wrong direction(upwards). I have yet been able to pry it back the other direction to the way it used to be. There are 3 allen wrench bolts around the lever in the door as well if that helps direct where I am talking about.

I was wondering if I can correct what I have done? I have been unsuccessful trying to get it back to where it was.

Mine's getting balky , too. I understand the "door open" pin switches are in that lever area, and they are a PITA to remove and reinstall. How is the action of the lever when you use the key manually ? Have the parts been lubricated ? You may have to get a manual to get the right procedure. So here's a bump for ya.
