I had this problem a few days ago that started to had which is apparently a common problem with these cars. So with my experience I'd like to share my solution to one of the few problems that could cause this. Some say it's the switch itself others say it's the plug behind the panel by the hood latch release in the car. Before replacing anything I would recommend looking at the wires in the little cover the goes from the door into the car. The wire the controls my driver side window switch had been severed. I have a couple of pictures showing where and how I soldered it back together. Could potentially save you 20 or more dollars. I used wire strips, soldering iron with solder obviously, heat shrink wrap, heat gun. you could use a butt connector is you think you can get the crimpers in between the door and car.
