Somehow my drivers mirror (black mount casing) has loosened up a little.

What needs to be done to tighten it up?

Take off the tweeter base and you should be able to tighten it from there.

Boy, that was fast.

Trying to avoid a problem here. How hard and what needs to be done to remove the tweeter base?

Thanks

The grill comes off if you gently pry it. There's a few screws under there.

Worst case scenario: you have to take off the door panel. I took mine off a few times, but I don't remember if the mirror mounting bolts were under there or the tweeter. Either way, you have to take the tweeter mount off first, so start from there.

pry the speaker cover off. there is a phillips screw in the center of the speaker housing. remove that screw and there are three 11MM bolts that tighten up the mirror. i just did this last week when my cobra mirrors went on!

Unfort, after tightening up the black base, it appears that the mirror itself is actually lose.

If I remove the 3 nuts, will the black base come off the door and is there a way to tighten up the mirror???

Thanks

the 3 bolts do hold the mirror on. i'm not sure about tightening the mirror itself.

I did pull the mirror base off the door. But unfort, don't see how to tighten the mirror itself.

HMMM??? Wonder what cobra mirrors go for?
