i get a really bad vibration around 60 and i was wondering could it be? would it be my pinion angle is off or my driveshaft needs to be rebalanced? i have 3.55 gears and tubular/adjustable control arms

When was the last time you got your tires balanced. That is most likely what it is.

I would say get an alignment first, and ifthat's not it, pick up an aluminum d/s, probably about same cost as getting the stock on rebalanced.

Hi,

Did it start when your gears were changed? If so they probably didn't index your driveshaft. Check this out:

my tires are balenced and rotated regularly. i bought the car with the vibration, the vibration is extremely violent, i can not take it to freeway speeds. the previous owner said the vibrations started with the control arm swap. so that leads me to beleive that the pinion anngle is off. how do i adjust the pinion angle?

What frequency are the vibes? Anything to do with tires will have a very low frequency, even at freeway speeds. Does the vibration get progressively worse the faster you go? I had a bent mainshaft in my last T-5, and it would start vibrating the shifter violently at around 80 mph, and it only got worse with speed. Where are the vibrations coming from -- through the chassis, or through the driveline?
