Drivetrain Problems?

I need a little help on figuring out what could be wrong, I have a 98GT
5 speed. When I'm driving and let off the gas i'm getting a bad vibration then when I give it gas it make a clunk noise but the vibration goes away.

Any ideas where to start first?

Jack up the car and check ujoints (or replace them anyways) that $20 goes a long way! Trust me I know! I drove it hard one day on my way home from work, heard a clicking sound stopped and started moving again, then the ujoint failed causing the rear of the DS to hit the ground, not bad and no additional damage, but it still plain sucked!

Check trans mount and motor mounts, then if you still haven't found an issue, check the fluid level in the rear end, you might have some bearings going out causing an unwanted increase in backlash in the gears back there. Coasting down the street is there a humming sound coming from the rear end? Gets louder with mph not RPM's? That was mine and the pinion bearing (I think) was turning into glitter in the diff fluid..
