... and the vent off, does anyone else's car feel like the heater is on? Whenever I drive around on a cool evening and want the windows down, I can feel heat coming from under the dash. Does anyone else's car do this?

Get rid of those catalytic converters. o/r X or H pipe really cuts down on the heat buildup.

It's always hot driving around here even at night but yeah it could be your transmission or cats.

I can feel the heat come up from under the car.

Usually these days with the humidy i drive around with the A/C on the 1st or 2nd setting with the windows down. It gives a nice cool breeze effect. Sure it makes the car slower, but on those hot humid days it isn't exactly a rocketship anyway

I have noticed my center dash around the stereo heats up alot. Not sure if it is the stereo or something near it that causes it to heat up.

if you ask me, i think our gts run extreamly hot. i feel my shift knob getting hot while im driving, and its plastic 8 ball type. i park it in the garage at night, leave the garage door open for about 20 min. and go out to lock everything up, and the whole garage is hot and humid from the cars heat.

also went to a car show opened the hood and the heat was pouring off the engine for about and hour and a half after it was parked.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one with that problem. The heat seems even more noticeable since I had the 4.10 gears and chip installed. I think my car loses power at times as well. On some days, it runs like a slug. On others, it pulls really hard.

cant you get a cooler thermostat and make the engine run cooler? I know it wont do crap for the tranny but it might help. what about a tranny cooler?

I also do the windows+AC thing sometimes. I like fresh air (well as fresh as the air on the road can be) but I also like cool air.

seems silly to me. Why run the A/C if the windows are down? If you are too hot, turn the A/C on and roll the windows up.
