Driving around with your windows down...

seems silly to me. Why run the A/C if the windows are down? If you are too hot, turn the A/C on and roll the windows up.

I think it's just me and you that run the a/c with the windows up. I guess having the windows down would be good for larger gusts of wind and the fresh air, but don't you agree that it just gets plain colder faster when you have the windows up?

Then people can't see you while you're cruising. I have dark tint, but I do roll them up on the highway.......

your just wasting that much more gas (theoritically) when you have your windows down and run your a/c

I have sufficient self esteem that i don't need to cruise with my windows down so people can see me.

you're not wasting any more gas windows down rather than up... you're just not using your a/c to your fullest potential when you let the cool air escape from the car. (assuming you would have never turned the a/c off windows down or up)

If it's 100 degrees out, obviously i have the windows up. But if it's 80 degrees out and muggy, it's not really hot but the humidity bothers me. I need the A/C for that, but it doesn't need to be going crazy to cool me off. A gentle cool breeze usually does it.

I like the windows down as much as possible. I feel more open with them down. With them up, it feels like i am secluded from everyone. I am a popular guy, i am always driving by people i know so i need to say hello.

I mean when it's hot windows go up, but there are a lot of time when you don't need the A/C but it might be a bit humid out and you might want a cool breeze effect.

The Fix to this problem...

Without rear vent windows the air cannot make a continuous circle around the interior of the car with both windows down. The way to alleviate the excessive heat in the driver's side foot area of the car is to roll the drivers side window up and leave the passenger window all the way down.

This directional airflow forces the cooler air down to the floor area by your feet. Granted this isn't doesn't work as well for slow rolling under 30mph but at hwy speeds it is quite comfortable, even when the temps are above 80 degrees outside.

I hate the A/C. The film it leaves on the windows sucks...makes me wonder if it does it to the windows, what are the gases in the freon doing to my lungs??? I have an hour and a half commute each way back and forth to work each day, so I have had a lot of time to figure this out. I promise you it works!

One reason why I like driving with the windows down is because I love listening to my exhaust. Just doesn't sound the same with the windws up.
