I gotta give my props to those that pull the engine separate from the tranny. It is a major PITA to get them mated back together. Oh well. it will be done soon and it will be wicked fast. I am almost tempted to pull the tranny and install them in tandem. Sorry just a vent. Spent 5 hours today trying to get it to fit in. (1 man show). Maybe I am just going about it wrong, but I don't think so.

Is the trany still bolted in? If so, that's your problem. Unbolt the trany and slide it back and support it so it doesn't fall out, and then get the engine in, then slide the trany forward and into the engine. If you ask me it's harder to pull it all at once and then get it back in.
