Dry or Wet Kit

I will be purchasing the Zex Nitrous Kit shortly and I was wondering what everyone reccommends. Should I go with the Wet or Dry Kit? What are the pros and cons of each? Which is safer? Also is the wet kit as easy or almost as easy to install as the dry kit? Sorry theres so many questions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A wet kit would allow me to run a higher shot without really having to upgrade my fuel system. I have a 100 dry shot with an AFPR and that's the limit until I upgrade my fuel pump. My buddy ran a 150 wet shot with the stock fuel system. He didn't even need an AFPR.

With electronic fuel-injection manifolds, it is common to run a "dry" nitrous system. Having a dry system simply means no gasoline flows through the intake manifold, even though the nitrous is injected at the throttle body. In a dry system, the additional fuel is added through the fuel injectors. This is done to prevent gasoline from puddling in the manifold as it tries to turn the sharp corners found in many stock-type EFI manifolds. Puddling is very bad for two reasons: If the fuel is puddling it's not getting to the cylinders, and secondly, if a valve hangs open the fuel in the intake can explode and blow the intake right off the car.

I would do your research on zex before you buy please. I've heard mixed feelings about the kit.. The kit is cheap but is their a reason for that?

I ran a Dry kit make sure to use a hobbs switch if the ZEX kit allows it as Im not familiar with the kit.. I had a 190lph intank pump that wouldnt jack the pressure high enough up to kick on my kit thanks to the hobbs switch.. I had to stick a T-Rex inline to get the pressure I needed wich was odd becuase everyone said the 190lph intank should have done the trick. I was running 12.30s N/A and went 11.20s @ 121mph but it started to cause the clutch to slip going into fourth so im sure It has some more in it.. Ive been told the Wet kits hit harder and make more power but have only used wet on my 92 wich is carbed. Just do all the research you can.. I spent many hours online befor I started using nitrous and I never had a single Nitrous related problem on either of my cars.. (Knocking on wood).

comparable kits all are pretty close to the same. give or take 100
