I had to have my dual exhuast re piped after I had the AOD trans installed on my 65 coupe. I just have the shorty hedman headers, and the shop ran to pipes about as tight to the bottom of the car as they could. But with the new setup, when i go over a really steep drive way i scrape my pipes. Actually it only scrapes when i have a passenger in the car, but i was hoping to install my 620 springs in the front soon so that would make it scrape even easier. I really dont see any other way to run the pipes, i wish i had some pics but i'm at work. Does anyone else with an AOD trans have problems scrapping exhuast? If not, any pics of how your exhuast is ran? Thanks!

I would think that the 620's, being stiffer than stock, would help keep you from bottoming out. Also there are many reports that the 620's kept the front of the car higher than stock springs--many owners have had to cut them down to achieve a lower stance.

Good to know, thanks. Had no idea that the 620's would make my car higher. Its very possible though because i still have the original springs so im sure they have some sag in them.

I had to cut mine to get a decent stance. I don't like the nose that high up. I cut mine for a one inch drop. They should help you from bottoming out though because they are pretty stiff....especially compared to your old springs.
